The iSAMS system can be hosted on-site within the schools existing IT infrastructure or if required, the system can be hosted externally by iSAMS on behalf of smaller schools that might not have the internal resources. This is a very unique service exclusive to iSAMS as it is normally one or the other, not both. There are a number of unique features within the iSAMS system that makes it so different from other systems. The power of the communication tools within iSAMS allows a school to have a paperless system, if that is their long term goal. Through portals that dynamically link to the core database, vast amounts of information can be shared with parents through the Parent Portal, pupils through the Pupil Portal and teaching staff through the intranet and the main iSAMS front-end. Information can then be dynamically pushed to the school website. These portals appear as separate entities but they are all managed from the same management system and require little or no administration to update them. This is a very powerful way of communicating with the whole school community ranging from prospective parents all the way to Alumni.
