iSAMS has grown from recommendations and requests from our first schools and we are keen to continue this approach. We welcome your requests for changes and improvements via our UserVoice platform.

The purpose of the UserVoice platform is to allow any user to submit their feature request via a website and let the iSAMS user community search, view and vote for requests they agree with. We then use this feedback to work out what features to develop using the voting preferences to work out priorities.

So that you can see how the platform works, we have documented how to submit a feature request or idea and the workflow that goes on when a request is made.

What Is A Feature Request

A feature request consists of client suggestions or desires for additional functionality. Feature requests may be as small as an extra field on a report to specifications for a new module.

Feature Request Workflow

A feature request gets submitted using the UserVoice platform. Please following the simple steps below to get started.

1. Access the UserVoice platform via the Help Desk or via the UserVoice web address - http://uservoice.isams.co.uk/. UserVoice is authenticated against the Help Desk so no registration or additional login is required.

2. The platform is broken down by modules - listed on the right hand side of each page. Clicking on the forum name loads all of the feature requests and ideas within that module.

3. To add a feature request or idea start typing the title within the " - enter your idea or feature request" text box. The page will filter to show any previous ideas that match your idea. If the idea does not already exist a "Create New Idea" button will appear. Clicking on this loads a window where you can confirm the title and enter a description. Once the idea is saved other users will see it and can vote for it.

4. To vote for ideas you would like to see developed just click on the "vote" option by each idea and select 1, 2 or 3. You can view voting history, trends, notes and comments by clicking on the idea title.

iSAMS will be active on the platform providing roadmap information and idea status updates regularly so you can see what ideas will be developed and ones which have been started and completed.

UserVoice Concepts

The UserVoice application is very simple to use and view and it has many powerful features.

1. A specially designed forum to allow end users to present ideas and suggestions and let the whole iSAMS community vote.
2. You have 10 votes within each module forum - so you can't vote for everything!
3. Your votes will be returned when your ideas are completed or deleted (UserVoice will e-mail you).
4. You can change your votes at any time. This is useful if new ideas are posted or the school's priorities change.
5. You will get a (digested) email of any activity on your ideas: comments, status changes and admin responses.

Time Frames and Urgent Features

We do not provide timeframes for feature requests nor can we be requested to provide dates when the feature request will be completed unless the feature request is paid for. If the request is urgent and is needed by a certain date you can request to pay for the feature to be added via our help desk.
